	Efter vad FN fått erfara skall stenen ha blivit funnen norr om vägen, på ”Fadåker”, som tidigare tillhörde Simunde, nu dock tilldelats Nederbjärs. Lindqvist: Av Säve har berättats, att stenen stod vid ”Tugardsplats” nära Simunde ”där den blev hittad och år 1840 uppställd av bonden C: H: S:, som då gjorde den till minnesmärke för sitt tun [Zaun] som man kan se i en lång, under sagda år inhuggen skrift.

HUS:BON:DEN:C:H:S: 

Translation: ʻIn the year 1840, on the 16th of May, this stone and Tun [i.e., enclosure/fence] were erected by the landlord C. H. S.ʼ The stone enclosure next to the re-erected picture stone probably represents this very tun mentioned in the inscription.
